Life After 2nd Degree Black belt test                                                           By                                                  Barry L. Crouse  have just received my 2nd Degree Blackbelt in October 1996 and found a IT Consultant Job on day shift. I basically had to give my body about two-three months do to the injuries and intense training rest so this puts me up to the beginning of 1997. While still training in Lakewood, Ohio, Our instructor brought in some world class fighters and I had the opportunity to spar with a few of them. I can remember the opport...

Training for 2nd Degree Black Belt

The time is around fall of 1995. I was training at in Lakewood, Ohio under a Master who served as the Martial Arts Instructor in the U.S. Army in Korea at least that was what I was told.                         I was working on 3rd shift for a Multi International Corporation as a Computer Operator and getting out on the Internet with a 56k modem PC 8086 Dos based system. I was reading about Middle age and Irish History since I was curious about my roots.                          One day my Master called me into his office and asked me if I wanted to try for a 2nd degree Black belt. I was kind of surprised and did not think about it I lacked confidence but My master encouraged me to give it a shot so I said okay.                   ...

Life after becoming a 1st Degree Blackbelt

Life after becoming a 1st Degree Black belt               The audience I am trying to reach is the common person. Once again this is not for rich billionare's , Hollywood actors, or super wealthy church officials who have no idea about hard lessons in life themselves.               I remember around fall of 1989 I began to have unexplained nose bleed's this was not serious this could be do to sinuses, getting hit in the nose, maybe loss of weight, lack of iron could have been a number of factors at any rate my body was sore and muscles were tired so I was compelled to take a layoff. My friend who opened up a Hap-kido studio closed it down around 1990 and I started a new Job and worked on 1st shift temporarily for a Multi International Corporation. This was a lesson in life because the next three years I learned about Corporate Office P...

Training for 1st Degree Blackbelt

Today is 08/27/2017. I needed to discuss or go over my experiences back in the 80's when I was training for my 1st degree Blackbelt 1981 - 1988. The audience I am trying to reach is the common person man or woman this is not for Politicians, Celebrities, or rich billionaires.                 In the 80's, When you were up for your Blackbelt test this required mental and physical preparation and to drive home the point one day back around 1987 my master showed us a live training session on North Koreans training in Tae-Kwon-Do in the sea of Japan water temp. 50 degrees roughly. This made me think a lot about my training and how I want to train and had a year to get ready for this I was fired up and had dreams of after getting my 1st degree Blackbelt I would goto Japan and get the opportunity to fight for a world title shot or work at it . At the time, I was working on 3rd shift as a computer ope...
